Gen. Casimir Pulaski Celebration – March 6, 2023

The Polish American Foundation, Illinois Division and Polish American Congress, Illinois Division celebrated Casimir General Pulaski Day on March 6, 2023.

All celebrated Gen. Casimir Pulaski for his patriotism and bravery in Poland and for his heroism during the American Revolutionary War in America. Pulaski is also considered the “Father of the American Cavalry”.

We honored Polish World War II veterans who fought for freedom and homeland and live in the Chicago area.  Students from Polish Saturday schools presented a brief, patriotic artistic program. The ceremony was attended by about two hundred people representing Polish and American organizations and offices.

We are thankful to Ms. Malgorzata Bak-Guzik, Consul of Poland, Ms. Agata Grochowska, V-Consul of Poland, and Mr. Serhiy Koledov, Consul General of Ukraine for attending our celebration.

Ms. Anna Wierzbicki, President of the Polish American Foundation, Illinois Division, hosted this annual ceremony.
