Polonia Impact Day

State Capitol in Springfield, Illinois
April 29, 2026

A truly remarkable event that showcased the strength, unity, and civic engagement of Polonia in our Illinois capital, Springfield. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated, and special appreciation to the dedicated organizers whose hard work made this impactful day possible.

We especially recognize Ms. Jolanta Grocholska, President of the Polish American Congress, Illinois Division, and Mr. Łukasz Dudka, General Manager of Dziennik Związkowy, whose efforts – together with the strong support of Senator Robert Martwick – made this initiative a success. Thank you.Among the participants were representatives of many organizations, including guests from the Polish Consulate in Chicago and delegations from Poland: members of the Polish Sejm, as well as representatives of Wieliczka and the Małopolska Region.

The Polish American Congress is also pleased to announce that, on the occasion of Polonia Impact Day, it received an Illinois State Senate Resolution, formally presented during the event. The document was sponsored by Senator Robert Martwick, to whom we extend our sincere thanks. This Resolution is a meaningful distinction for the Polish community in Illinois and affirms the importance of our shared work on behalf of the Polish‑American community.
