PAC-IL at the Opening of the “Fighting and Suffering. Polish Citizens During WWII” Exhibition

Several Board members of the Polish American Congress; Illinois Division (PAC-IL) participated in the opening of the “Fighting and Suffering. Polish citizens during WWII” exhibition in the James R. Thompson Center on September 3rd, 2019.

Consul General, Mr. Piotr Janicki, led the official opening of the exhibition by the Consul General of Poland.  Lieutenant Governor of Illinois, Juliana Stratton and many leaders of various organizations participated in the opening ceremony.

The exhibition was created by the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Outbreak of World War II.
