I [Agata Zborowska] would like to warmly invite you to my upcoming event, “The Visual History of Polish Chicago,” where I will present and discuss selected results of more than two years of my work and research in Chicago.

The evening will take the form of a (hopefully) entertaining “visual essay” – a screening of selected archival materials I have collected, accompanied by my live commentary on the history of American Polonia, Polish Chicago, amateur filmmaking, migration, memory, and the social life of images.

The event is free and open to the public, and there will also be a small reception afterwards, thanks to the generous support of The Kościuszko Foundation.

This is my last public presentation before the summer break, so please come by, say hello, and spend the evening with a wonderful crowd!
