 \n\n<strong>The White and Red Ball</strong>\, hosted annually by the Legio
 n of Young Polish\nWomen\, is a distinguished black‐tie gala that has been
  a cornerstone of\nChicago’s Polish‐American community since 1940.\n\nHeld
  at the Hilton Chicago\, this elegant event features the formal presentati
 on of\ndebutantes—a cherished tradition introduced in 1945 as the first “e
 n\nmasse” debutante presentation in the U.S. Debutantes are presented\nby 
 their fathers or male relatives\, donning white gowns and gloves\,\nwhile 
 guests are expected to dress in formal evening attire\, with\nwomen in flo
 or‐length gowns and men in tuxedos or white tie and tails.\n\nThe evening 
 includes traditional Polish dances such as the Polonaise\nand the Biały Ma
 zur\, culminating in the crowning of the Queen of the\nBall. Beyond its so
 cial grandeur\, the event serves as the Legion’s\nprimary fundraiser\, sup
 porting various charitable\, educational\, and\ncultural initiatives withi
